Default Alternator "whine" through stereo

Just got an aftermarket stereo installed and I'm noticing some minor, but still annoying alternator whine coming through. Would grounding the entire vehicle/system better as mentioned in other threads be a good idea to help reduce this? Meaning the project where you ground the battery to the frame and other points around the engine bay also.

Any help would be great.

Did you just upgrade the HU? or did you upgrade the amp as well? If just the HU, did you bypass the stock amp or keep it. If you kept the stock amp and didn't bypass the stock amp, your solution is to get a couple of Ground Loop Isolators and install them between the HU and stock amp.

Cartoys installed it and they kept the factory amp so I will look into this Ground Loop Isolator you speak of.

Thank you!

Yeah, that sounds like the way to go, and if you got it installed by a shop then they most likely kept the stock amp installed.
