2005 ES330 - 'low fuel level warning' light

Does anyone know how much fuel is left or, how far I can travel once the "low fuel level warning" light comes on?

The owners manual states that the car holds 18.5 gallons of fuel. But when the 'low level' light comes on and I drive approximately another 5-10 miles with it on, it only usually takes 15-16 gallons to fill up the gas tank.

So, do I still have approximately 2-3 gallons left when the 'low fuel level warning' light first comes on?

Thanks.

The low fuel light is a bit of an approximation. It will typically come on steady when you have 5-8% of the fuel left.

about 2 gallons, don't go dry, you don't want to know why.

As you probably noticed too, the ES 330 owner's manual mentions the low fuel light a few times but does not specify how much fuel remains when it does come on. :dunno: This morning it did for me just as I ran up to the gas pump. I filled it up with 14.6 gallons. Subtract that from the 18.5 gallons' max and we end up with the warning light coming on right when it goes below 4 gallons. This seems pretty early when I compare it with other owner's figures, including yours, so I'll keep an eye to see if I get significantly different results.
