Although I am in the process of trying to get second remote, I have learned a few things:
1. Check the remote lock on or off switch on the dash to the right of the driver. If it is turned off, your remote will not work.
2. Replace the battery in the remote.
3. As a last resort and I am not sure it is necessary, try re-programming the remote. You will find instructions by search this site.

Now for the solution I am pursuing: I am buying a used remote on Ebay, with the same FCC number as on my working remote. I have not been able to find any source for key blanks made for the 92 ES300 remotes, so I intend to just carry the used remote to open the doors and carry a non remote key to use for the ignition and to open the doors if the remote stops working.

same deal here with the remote key, the housing broke from the key but the button still worked so i was ok with it, then that stop functioning. now i have a alarm/remote start that i plan on installing soon so im not as concerned as i was but for the moment i miss my keyless entry. feel like a caveman having to manually lock/unlock my car...
