Default HID Fogs

I am planning on ordering HID fogs from HID Xtra, their kit has been perfect for my low's and the low's in our lx, so i figure i should get another. I just need to know if anyone has done this swap and what kind of bulb and wattage do i need? Also where did you guys mount your ballasts? Thanks in advance

^^ they are indeed! I recall the amount of cursing when i was swapping over to plain yellow bulbs!

Btw you need 35W bulbs & kit. Well i'd go with that since the OEM halogen counterparts require 55W for both the low beams & fogs.

Ballasts? good question - i'm gonna be swapping over to HID's this spring, no time or cold weather & slush will make me do it now.

yea ive heard not to use 55w HID's in the fogs, because the housing can melt or something. i have 35w and there more then bright enough. i mounted the ballasts right above the foglight inside the bumper. never had a problem. you need h3 bulbs if you have a 3rd gen es.

Ehhh no lie, both my kits on my car (ebay kit), one i got for 35 and the other 29 and that was like at least a year ago, they are still working fine and strong. Maybe i got lucky?

Fogs, is not that big of a PIA, but there is some thinking involved.
Just get a regular 35w with H3 bulbs.
now the PIA part,
after you connect the bulbs in and power the cap, your fog housing is not open, what i did was tak sura wrap and wrapped the whole back with like 5 layers and tape on each layer ghetto sure but hey it works. been through this crazy rain we have been having here in so cal and going through big puddles and they still work.
Then i electrical taped the cap where the power supply went too

o if you wonder where to place the ballast a suggestion right behind the corner lights

Up to you haha hope this helped
