Es300 92 heavy smoke at tailpipe
Hello. my es300 92 smokes badly but only when warm. cold it doesn't smoke at all.
Also, it starts to smoke after i drive for like 1/2 a mile. when i let it warm up at idle it doesn't smoke at all either.
When it starts to smoke, smokes all the time (at idle, at decceleration, at acceleration).
Its kind of a gray smoke, not white (coolant), not black either.
Could it be piston rings? maybe exhaust valve stem seals leak oil directly inside the hot tailpipe and turns into smoke.
please help me out! thanks.

Hola!
Well, normally we get smoke when cold due to valve stem seals leak and when it warms up it will expand and help stop or slow down the leak. I will be posting a how to on changing out the seals soon.
Sounds like blow by, Your piston rings may be leaking.
Try this test. after she is warm. go up a steep hill, turn around and go down the hill, no gas. If you see smoke, it is piston rings.
Gray? does it have a tint of blue? Put a piece of white paper when she smokes to see what is actually coming out.
You could also remove your O2 Sensor to see the condition of the sensor, if black with soot, it may verify piston rings.

Hola Draco. great, let me find a hill and ill do the test (no hills nearby). it's difficult to say if it's gray/blue. i'll also try the paper thing.
Right now my car has no coolant, just plain water. does that affect the smoke color in case of blown headgasket? i don't see oil in water/water in oil, also no overheating.
PFB i confirm i replaced the PCV and rubber grommet and no change.

Just plain water, oh my, no bueno, it will corrode components very quickly. I know Ecuador is always hot but you need some protection for the component, maybe 20-25% coolant rest DISTILLED water, it must be distilled.
How is the oil level? not over filled si?
I would also look inside the throttle body to see if it is full of oil, this will confirm, leaking seals.
