That was my problem with buying new ones (along with the cost) but I can see them lasting 3-5 years before any issues re-develop.

It's unlikely I'll still have the car then, but even if I do, buying new ones in 2015 is not the end of the world. At that point though, this car will probably have so many miles and wear and tear, I won't care anymore.

Right now though, the car really is in mint condition, and it was the one thing that made it look old and dated.

Is this an easy DIY project? Does it just pop off?

Any advice would be appreciated, it really makes my car look like crap.

Thanks

Yes!! I replace mines they pop right off. You can use a tool called panel popper or a flat head screw driver just pry it away from the cars body and you will be fine...

So the b pillar pieces are easy to remove if you know what you're doing. I found two in good condition at my local pick and pull yards. I've replaced both of mine without breaking the clips or the clip retainers. Patience is key! I can take pictures and provide a write up if still necessary.

My pillars are cracking and breaking from hot sun damage, so bought a whole kit online for about $35. The one challenge I have is that one of the pillars has lost 80% of the plastic, but the 20% that remains is glued tightly to the pillar. I've been attacking it with a putty knife, but it s slow go. I am concerned about adding the cover to an uneven surface, so I want to remove it all, if I can.
