Could be the check oil indicator. Make sure you have enough oil.

kjr11mjr Sep 13, 2010 02:27 PM

the thing is, ive done everything..changed all the oils etc, so wht i need is some one with a user manual for a lexus, or some one who is 100% sure he/she knows wht tht sign means.

so if annnyyone knows please help!!

Just a suggestion, post a pic. It will help greatly and eliminate guessing and confusion.

take it to autozone for a free scan, but i would have to say low oil pressure

Pretty sure its the low oil level light, the low oil pressure light looks different I believe. Might want to check your dipstick. If you recently changed your oil and it's low already you also might want to see if you have any leaks.

Hope I helped.

"IGNORE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" Famous last words.......

That light is the low oil level light. Either you didnt add enough oil, or need to fix the sensor in the oil pan.

Go to manualspace.com, download the manual, go to BE Body electrical, page 168.

If you know you've got enough oil it's probably the oil sensor, I hear this comes up abit with the 2nd Gen ES

It's the oil light, mine goes on and off every 1,500 - 2,000 miles because of the valve cover gasket....

Also, No AutoZone for a 93, Must be a 95 or above and OBDII for Autozone to scan it....

Check engine light codes are alot easer to check on these cars (OBD1).

Tools Needed:
A Paper Clip
The Key

thanx alot people...ok it must be a glitch in the oil sensor then, cuz the oil levels are ok..

- any one have a working link to the owners manual for a 93 es300..i cant seem to find the owners manual (i have the technical training manual).
- any one have a walk through or have an idea how to get to the oil sensor in the oil pan?

thanx alot again!

can anyone get back to my comment above?

also how about this: that symbol could mean that the oil temperature is rising etc?is that a possibility, or is that a different symbol?
