92 es alarm wiring Questions
Hopefully you guys can bear with me. It might be a bit confusing.
I have an aftermarket alarm in my car (92 ES300), and my car also came with the factory alarm (activated by locking with the key).
The aftermarket alarm locks/unlocks doors, opens trunk, and flashes the parking lights. Upon activation, Parking lights flash, and the siren goes on.
The factory alarm goes off when a door is opened, or even unlocked from the inside. Upon activation, Headlamps/foglights flash, and Horn honks on and off fast.
What I want is for the aftermarket alarm to be able to arm/disarm the factory alarm as well. I like how loud the horn is, and the headlights that flash, not to mention that by merely unlocking a door, or pushing the power lock switch will be enough to set everything off.
I should note that currently the stock alarm will only work when locked with the key from the outside. arming the aftermarket alarm does not arm/disarm the factory. HOWEVER after arming the aftermarket, then the factory (using the key), Setting off the stock alarm will also set off the aftermarket alarm. I am thinking is because the aftermarket senses the electrical drain.
My real question is:
Does anyone know the color of the wire that is hooked to the drivers door keylock that activates/arms the stock alarm, and also the corresponding one that deactivates/disarms as well?
Im thinking if I find these two wires, and tap off the aftermarket alarm's unlock and lock leads, I can have the aftermarket alarm control the factory one too.
Sorry for such a long post, and thanks in advance to anyone that could help!

I'm sorry to say that I do not think that you can do both... what I mean is that I have an avital alarm, keyless entry, and remote start, and when you alram my alram the factory led also flashes.. It does not set off the horn or the headlights though when the alram goes off. I think that you can do only one or the otehr. My friend is a profesional installer, and I will ask him though.. Most likley though it will be one or the other.. I will get back to you though..
