3mz-fe flex pipe repaired wrongly? Experts needed.

So the flex pipe on my car went bad causing a major leak and I had it repaired instead of replacing the whole mid pipe. Now I noticed the new flex piece is smaller than the factory one and I was wondering could this be the cause for the cars lack of power to get to 100? or are all 3mz-fe dead after 85? It moves up to 85 id say and then it dies off. I included some pictures let me know what you all think. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...814101333a.jpg

Wow they did a good job with the repair and good welding job, but as far as lack of power that repair has nothing to do with that. I would go and unplug your battery for 30 min or pull your efi fuse to reset the ecu and see how it drives after that.

You dont think the smaller size is restricting the airflow? Maybe ill try some premium fuel.

Well thats definately not an OEM piece however as stated that would not effect power. It appears to be the same exact size as the original pipe and even if it was a tad smaller you wouldnt notice the difference. Its a small 200hp V6 pulling a 4 door sedan thats why it feels slow.
You should see how the ES feels when your other car is a 505HP Z06 :-D

I hear you on that, it just had me paranoid for some reason.

I don't see an issue with the flex pipe used, it's basically piping.

thats not even the same car in the picture bro

The car isnt made to accelerate crazly after 60mph its a 4 door sedan. That flex repair is done correctly and wont harm your "Acceleration" And that stock picture isn't even a lexus.

I knew something was wrong! After taking this flex pipe out we noticed the inner braid also came apart and restricted the air flow. Any body know why?

Just wondering what the white bracket does on the car?
Is it for stiffer body roll?
Where can I get one?

Thanks
