Default transmission replacement

I bought a 94 ES 300 for my daughter, wanting her in a safe car, but the transmission has bit the dust. I have been searching for info on what is involved in removing and replacing myself. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have moderate mechanical skills and have replaced a couple before, but they were on late '60s cars and were pretty simple. How bad is it?

Thanks for any input

www.ratko.org this is a 5speed swap write up but you can use it as your guide to take it out.Note: once you take it out most likely you can but back in.The link is a camry but same engine and tranny.

Thanks that does give me some good info. But somewhere there has to be a step by step for the automatic.
