The "check engine" and "trac light" come on periodically. A local mechanic just checked with his diagnostic tools and said the codes he got were 1133 and 1153. He said not to worry about it. He just pulled the fuse and reset everything. Trouble is, they have come back on. What do these codes mean? I have researched this site as best I can and it seems the codes should be just two digit codes. Can anyone help? My nearest Lexus dealership is 3 hrs away (one way)!!!!

um, it says u have an LS and a GS. i can't help u with diagnostic codes for them.

OH, sorry!! you said YOUR closest lexus dealer was 3 days away. i dunno what year your friend's car is but i think the mechanic must've read the code wrong. you're right, most codes are 2 digits. breaking 1133 and 1153 down...11 is ABS problem and 33 is rear wheel speed sensor problems on the right side. i dont know what 53 would be.
