i have a 96 es300, the radio works fine but i put a cd in the 6 disk changer in the truck and when i switch to cd it tries to read and shows up ERR no matter what cd i put in. does anyone know how i can fix this????

Try flipping the cd up side down. When I bought mine, I was wondering the same thing. Flip it that should solve your problem.

this is not the problem i have the same problem bought from Ebay a used unit and still the same Err I had an electroic guy try to fix it chaged the small motor still dont work ,could it be the radio? radio works OK

remove CD changer from the truck and put it into the trunk of your ES300 then try again. lol

Make sure you are not using MP3 Recorded CD's, Those Changer's only read regular CD Recordings.

on that note, make sure you do not put audio DVD in there as well. Did they even have those publicly available back in 1996?
