Default Tire recommendations 2003 ES300

Does anybody have recommendations for all-season performance tires for a 2003 ES300. I'm looking for a quiet tire with good ride and handling in dry and wet. I will be driving in snow. Fuel economy and price are secondary.

Lots of people on here like the Michelin Primacy MXV4 ...

I have had bad experience with All-seasons as a whole in the past, and never gonna do that again, one was with the above tire. But don't take my word for it, a few members are running them on here with great success.

Personally, i have summer rims with 'summer' directional tires, and my OEM 16s as winter wheels.

Since 16" winters aren't the worst for costs. Even then steelies are cheap as well.

I have Bridgestone Potenza's and they look great on this car. A lot of tires I see on this model look really stupid.

Mine:

They have sweet looking tread and drive excellently. They are "Performance" tires but are also made for the rain, snow, etc.

You don't need performance tires. The ES is too heavy and underpowered to make use of them.

General Altimax HP's have always been good to my friends up north, and they're rated pretty high. IMO, not that expensive for a tire with good ratings:

I can't believe you just posted that.

I had OEM tire size Toyo's all season [one of the top of the line] that came with the car. They were good, and quiet. Then i got a set of directional summers and they were MUCH better in terms of sticking to the road, i cannot describe it, it feels more planted. I was able to take turns faster and not feel the car was gonna lose grip.

To each they're own. And to be fair the car is not underpowered, it is rather quick when you look at it from the size, IMO.

A good set of tires, OEM size or not will make a difference, you cannot ignore this.

Then again i have 17s for summer, 225-45R17, maybe that is why it feels more planted. Regardless, it was the best investment i made. Hell purely from a winter/summer perspective this was a more feasible option, since I jsut swap between the two sets, VS. removing/installing tires each season.

i only put michelins on my car...it came with the energy MXV4's and when those wore out i replaced them with the primacy MXV4's. Hands down best tire for the price...they ride and handle very well in both wet and dry conditions, and they have a high treadwear rating (60k mile warrenty). Theyre also very very quiet and smooth as well. They balence out almost perfect without weights...i have absolutly no vibrations.

for dry rain and if its nows usually just light snow [like NJ but not Vermont] dunlop signature P215/60R16
94V
500 A A
Standard Performance all - season
will be great

or if you live in a pretty snowy plce, get some rims or steel wheels with tires at tirerack with some good snow tires like dunlop sp winter sport m3 or if you live in a real ice cube or mountain of a place get the dunlop graspic ds3 or continental extreme winter contact or bridgestone blizzak
