Sorry to bump an old thread....I am looking at a 2000 ES 300 with 80k on the clock. The car is in great shape but the wheel makes that groan when it's in park or at low speeds. So I'm looking at this pic and I am trying to figure out where to spray it?

I have silicone, but I also have white lithium grease which I have used for years on door hinges. Can someone point out where to spray?

I had the same issue on mine. Took it to my local Goodyear store where I get my tires. They did the grease thing at no charge when I got my oil changed.

May I ask a few question?

1. Where should I spray?
2. What is the function of this ****? Can't find it in menu.
Thanks!

Sorry for the bump. I just wanted to thank everyone in this thread for their help. I recently started hearing a squeak in my steering wheel, and was wondering if it was difficult to fix (taking apart the steering column). Thankfully, it should be a very simple task, I just need some silicone.

Sorry to bring back such an old thread. I've greased/oiled/lubed this thing twice at different times and it still makes the sqeaking noise. Mine looks a little different too since it's an 06?

anybody have any ideas? Should I grease it from underneath the car? where does it come out in the engine bay? I looked and didn't see anything.
