hey whats up i need some help removing my rear speakers, has anyone done it, if so are there clips to remove the speaker grill or any little tricks to remove the stock ones, can't seem to figure it out, if anyone has pics too can u post them

Ok, you are talking about the 6x9 speakers right? I didn't take them out myself, but I saw someone who did it to my car... First, take off the panels above your head on both sides of the car (where the curtain airbag would sit... if we had one). Take out the back of the back seat, all that holds it in are clips. Take out the bottom of the back seat, more clips. Take out your tear brake light... This is hard and has to be worked at to get it out. Take out the carpeted mat that surrounds your 6x9 speakers. Then there should be some screws that you remove and the speaker housing. Let me know how that works...

 

I just did this a few days ago, not too hard. Here's how I did it. First take out the back seat. Bottom part comes out by pulling up on the three clips along the front edge, feel for them and pull up hard around them. Two bolts at the bottom of the seat back, one on each side, 12 mm. Take them out and then pull the seatback up and out, there are 3 clips at the top.
Then take off the side panels behind the windows.
Next the 3rd brake light. There is a screw you get to from the trunk, you'll see a hole below the light, stick a Phillips head screw driver in there and feel for the screw and take it out. Then pry towards you on the light assembly, there are clips holding it in, might take a little force; a right angle pic tool or similar may be helpful.
The rear deck panel comes next, there are clips holding it on, 4 at the front; a door panel remover will be helpful in not breaking the clips. Pull up and/or back on the deck, there are clips along the back edge that will pull out and the deck will come off.
Then there are 4 screws holding on each speaker.

I hope that covers all of it, if not you should be able to figure out any other little details.

 

with speaker install, when you pop off the headboard, DON'T LOOSE THE PINS! haha. sometimes when i drive with the window open, the board pops off.
if you're gonna replace your speakers, use some dynamat, prevents the rear deck from rattling.

 

I agree, with my subs, my entire car shakes and the rear view mirror is almost worthless with some songs because it is shaking so bad.

 

any tips on how to install door speakers?

i cant figure out how to make the new tweeter fit in the old spot.
