fixed latch on armrest on center console
instend of buying, a new armrest for $200, I figured out how to fix the old broken latch, first locate the hollow post in center of the base of the latch, find a coil spring that will fit over it, then drill a hole on the latch to match up with the post, use a self tapping screw about 1 in in lenght, put the spring over the post, screw the screw thru the handle into the post securing the handle to the base, the spring will keep the latch tight against the hole for it. works great. this is for a 98 es300.
