Can anyone tell me how to reset airbag (without going to dealer or buying diagnostic computer). I recently changed my battery and now airbag light stays on solid. I saw a post regarding an SC model that talks about using paperclips and grounding terminals in the DLC2 and was wondering if this same method will work for the ES model? My DLC2 has schematic with same Tc and E1 contacts as shown in the SC fix. Any answers? Seems to me there should be an easier fix which does not involve monkeying with this DLC2but any advice would be appreciated.

Here I am answering my own post but hopefully it will help others. Airbag light staying on was caused by my starting the car (or even turning the key on) while my instrument cluster was out of the car for repair. I went by Lexus Dealer to pick up another part I had ordered from them and asked about the airbag light issue. A mechanic overheard my conversation and said it was easy to turn off. I asked him how much $ and he said no charge (how often will you hear that at the dealer!!!). Anyway, he came out to the parking lot, plugged in his diagnostic computer (under the hood) and had the light off in 15 seconds. I also asked him about doing it myself and he said that it could be done usind the diagnostic plug under driver side left knee as described elswhere in this forum (you will have to search AIRBAG to find it....I think it is in the SC part of this forum but works for ES models as well. Hope this helps someone.
