Gabriel Struts

I'm in need of struts and Gabriels are priced pretty decent. I'm finding a lot of people saying bad things about them but it seems to be about the struts not being any better for hard cornering compared to OEM. I bought my ES for it's nice smooth ride, not for speed or auto crossing, so that's what I care about with a strut. Do those of you with experience or knowledge on these think they will do the trick? Or are they really just garbage?

I dont really know, but I have the KYB GR-2s and am very happy with them. They are very close to stock performance, which is what I wanted. If I had to do it over again, I would have got Toyota mounts instead of the KYB ones though.

I dont know what year your ES is, but if its a 92-96, check out the suspension reference sticky, courtesy of my buddy Slooooooow.:) Good read!
