High Output Alternator

what up guys... tomorrow im going to get my alternator rebuilt into a high ouput 130 amp to get prepared for my 3 12" subs and 2 amps... would there be any problem if i have a 130 amp alternator running all stock equipment? ie.. power surge? or any other problems?

Several have used the highlander alternator which I believe is at least 130 if not more without reporting any problems, so i assume it would be okay. I been considering an upgrade as well due to my lights dimming everytime i bump.

A capacitor will not do anything that will help. Spend money on the alt.

could always get a used alt from car-part.com . I considered trying this to see if it'd work, since its only around 50 bucks for a used one. So far, though, my stock alternator is working well as long as I don't have both amps at full power all the time :)

I've noticed that the capacitor will bring more punch to the audio, and maybe less stress on the battery, but dosen't help a whole lot with the dimming issues.

Yea i'm a huge fan of that site but doing a rebuild is basically giving him a new one and for $100 thats a steal.
