Amsoil synthetic ATF for both here (compatible with Toyota Type IV & Dexron III fluids). Done every 2 years or 30k miles.

redline every 90k miles for both. I am a firm believer in if it aint broke dont fix it. I also have a 2006 ES that requires less preventative maintenance than older ES's.

i've used valvoline max-life with no problems at all. Usually change it once a year/every 5 or so 5k oil changes. (I drive alot, though).

i just bought some Valvoline MaxLife DEX/MERC ATF is that good? or should i return it and get something else?

any mercon dexron that you find in the parts store is perfectly suitable for both the power steering and the transmission.

some people seem incredulous to hear ''automatic transmission fluid'' goes into the power steering. Message me if you need an explanation or other clarification.

right now the latest stuff I think is IV, that's works too since it super cedes III and super cedes II

all the brands shhould be just as good. get the cheapest and youll be fine. just change it out every 30 K miles. or if the car is newer, get it flushed out, but only if new, because old cars may experience transmission problems after a flush due to debris clogging solenoids.

you should also remove what you can from the power steering reservoir and refil, every year, so as to be equal [dillution method] to doing it every 2 years. Of course, if you run the wheel to lock frequently, that would necessitate more frequently replacement.

I use Mobil 1 ATF for the PSF, Toyota Type IV for the moment in Mexico, but will be switching to Amsoil on the ATF when I get to Florida next month.

I use the maxlife dex/merc. They claim the base oils are synthetic. Seems good to me. I do a huge amount of stop and go so I do a drain every 2nd oil change or about 14k.
