Will A/C Cabin filter 87139-YZZ03 fit on 03 ES300 ? Is there any difference ? They both look similar...

I punched in the above P/N in the Trademotion database (official Lexus parts number database from the Park Place Lexus dealer online site) and it coordinates with the A/C filter for the '02-'03 ES300, '04-'06 RX330 and '03-'06 GX470. So yes, the filter will fit in a '03 ES

I am replacing the existing cabin filter with an aftermarket filter in my 2003 ES 300. The side of the filter has an arrow indicating air flow. Should this filter be installed with the arrow pointing UP or DOWN. I have seen several contradictory opinions. It feels like the airflow from the blower is UP when I remove the filter element.

I just did this on two neighbors' '03s...I used Denso 453-1009. I bet it's either the OEM filter without the Toyota P/N, or a charcoal upgrade from the OEM. $9.01 each on RockAuto, says it cross-references to 87139-33010 and 87139-YZZ03.

If I recall correctly there is an airflow arrow on the filter access panel. Absent that I think you are correct, the arrow should point upward (to the windshield). Separately, this is a 10 year old post in the future start a new thread.
