A question about EGR's
 

Can you clean em out? I know they cost about $250 to replace, and im trying to get a sub and an amp so im short on money. Anyone have directions on how to clean an EGR?:D

Yes you can, you take the vacuum lines off, unbolt it from the intake manifold & clean it.

carb cleaner?:uh: that stuff cleans anything.

So i really HATE to be a pain in the rear to people on here, but how should i go about cleaning this 1 pound hunk of metal and plastic? Because breaking it would cause lots of pain for me.:(
