Default rolling fender caused rust, solutions??

i rolled my fenders because my rear tire were rubbing on bumps. on the process i did peel some paint and a week later there is some rust where the paint peeled off. it is not noticeable but will the rust grow and eat out the painted areas?? is there some substance that i can apply to stop the rust?

i would suggest sanding it off. as you said it will continue to progress....no good! Then i would go to walmart or home depot and but some rust stop or sealant and apply it throughly. Be careful not to get it on your paint

Cool

You can buy harsh chemicals that you rub on the rust (damp cloth). The rust will dissolve & wipes away to bare metal.

Still faced with sealing & re-painting.

don't burn it off chemically... you're just going to **** **** up.

just get a scotch pad and rub the rust off, it's only been a week or so? i've rubbed off over a month of corrosion from the SAME exact issue on my old benz. the scotch pad will rub it out with no effort.

then get some underbody coating, and really make sure you have taped off or covered anything you dont want sprayed.

you dont have THAT much to worry about (no snow or salt on the roads), but i'd fix it because i'm ****.

you dont have that much work to do, just get some good heavy duty sand paper and sand off what you sprayed. sand through the rust, and use a scotchpad or something very light such as high-grit sand paper to sand down the rust off and have a smooth finish where you are going to cover it.

clean that area off (you dont want the excess crap you sanded under the paint.

primer it.

and get UNDERBODY coating from kragen or pep boys or wherever.

you should be good to go.

this advice is of course not meant for your paint on the exterior of the car or fenders.

and don't forget to tape everything off, so you dont get overspray on the nice looking stuff.
