well, when you look at the bushing and its destroyed. usually it is quite noticeable. or if you can wiggle it in and out. or if youve gotten an alignment and wheel balance, and your steering wheel is still wobbly, then more than likely your control arm bushings are shot. mine are shot as well, i already have the bushings, just dont have the time to press them in.

the shops and dealers recommend you to replace the whole arm if the bushing is bad. It's much easier this way

but you can also just buy the bushings and have a shop press them in.
I bought mine from ebay for like $35 for one set front control arm bushing. Had them in for 8 months+ before i upgraded to polyurethane bushings.

The control arm per side cost $170+ for comparison.

Search ftw....so the 2ES needs work and it seems all the control arms are bad....never installed the springs/shocks either....car still starts and runs fine but not sure if its worth it.

Drives pretty bad, very wobbly so its just parked...

Trying to decide to fix or not.

Why did you decide to upgrade to P.U. bushings? Despite being more durable, aren't they too stiff? When it comes to comfort it seems that rubber bushings are the way to go. My rear suspension arms bushings are creaking, but I'm still pondering on what I'm going to do to fix it.

I'd just replace the whole control arm and the ball joint. ($100 each side with ball joint at rock auto) The ease of the complete replacement is worth the extra cost to me.
