Here is the method for clearing the Airbag light.
Your diagnostic port is under the hood on the right side, but the method is exactly the same. How did I find this info? I did a search. :) |

ive done this several times with no problems.
pull the ecu fuse for 5 min or remove the negative terminal off the battery for 15 min. plus you get the chance to drive like a bat outta hell(yes they drive lex) and the car tunes accordingly. :) great writup, im enjoying my lextech cluster. people pace me on the hwy to check it out. its funny. https://www.clublexus.com/gallery/data//500/lights2.jpg |

CAN ANYONE DO ME A HUUUUUGE FAVOR?
Can they please list a simple supply list and part # with source for a total repair for my 1995 ES300 cluster lights? I am really busy and cannot go through the entire thread and get them all myself. I am a very big amateur when it comes to car repairs and I just want all the part information and sources to get them so I can get my dad to fix it for me because he is much better at it than I will ever be. Please help me, it would be VERY appreciated. This is basically the only problem I have with my car and I really want to set it right. It sounds easy enough but I AM AN IDIOT!!! Thanks guys |
Found a link from Windom Owners CLub.
(I had to do a Yahoo Babel Page translation) It is a DIY for LED backlighting (the right way) http://ww3.tiki.ne.jp/~lexus/op013.jpg http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate...rUrl=Translate |

The dude used what looks like 50 leds all circuited together(I think). Looks kind of difficult and somewhat unnecessary if you just want to replace your old bulbs with leds.;)
|
the straps thing is great, assuming they are rated for the force. which of course, I'm SUREEEE they looked into.
thanks for link. my dash is like 85% of the messed up dashed on here, not super bad, but just right--> bad |
I been reading this thread so all i have to is pull out cluster than replace with leds
|
What about replacing the bulbs with leds in your ash tray as well as shift console while your doing your cluster so everything matches? Any idea on the led part #'s for these? Also, whats with calibrating the needles once you put them back on if they have tabs so they go right back where they came from? Thanks!

WOW!
I knew someone would have the answer by now...... |

Why don't you be the first? Do the research, get the parts, and post the DIY. Not sure what you mean by "tabs" for the needles. :dunno: |
