on my way home from my brothers house the check engine light went on and the trans started acting funny. i would floor the car and it would stay in 2nd or 3rd gear at about 2k rpm's. so when i put it in low it would go into 1st gear and take off. then i could shift into "2" and it shifted fine, then "d" and it was like normal. anyone know whats wrong?

You most probably lost a shift solenoid, or a coolant sensor.
But why ask us an unanswerable question. Go see what the code is & you'll have a real answer with real strings of possabilities!

i went out to see what code it was, yeah well the C/E light went off.
