92 es300 No power up hills??

I am now pushing 215K and my car has no power up hills.. could it be that my engine is on its last leg.. I just changed the plugs changed oil flushed tranny and coolant.. Tranny does slip sometimes however This is not the problem going up hill as the tach stays around 3K. Any ideas or help would be great.. However I thing that the engine is just losing compression.
thanks
jim

Down shift, turn overdrive off, push ECT PWR on... Try out all sorts of things...

Vacuum test, check the timing, compression/leakdown test.
If you're not capible of doing a compression test yourself, you *must* get the person doing it to write down your #'s for each cylinder.

Fix the transmission slipping ASAP before you get into a big problem.

how could I fix the transmission? it has 213K on it I am sure it is just worn out. I have changed the filter and had it fully flushed. What else is there to do?
Thanks
jim

Start tightening the kick-down cable some.
It'll apply more fluid pressure in the valve body. The shifting points & speed of the shift change. For you, the upside is that a slight increase in fluid pressure will up the holding ability of the transmission (More fluid pressure will hold the clutches together harder). It may eliminant alittle slipping.

wheres the kickdown cable.. It doesnt slip in the low end. I would like to eliminate one problem at a time..
