Default Anyone riding on the Tanabe DF210's???

Just curious as to whether or not anyone in here had a set of the Tanabe DF lowering springs??? If so, care to give me a brief review? I'm still debating between the DF's and the Intrax setup with a set of Tokico HP's. As far as a spring/strut setup goes, there's really nothing else available as far as i'm concerned, as the 1.8 inch drop on the front that both of these products offer is absolutely essential imo....as far as the rear goes, the Intrax does 1.6 inches, whereas the Tanabe only does 1.0

So, is 1.0 going to be enough? I've got a subbox that weighs a solid 60-70 pounds in the trunk, but would that be enough to make it look more like a 1.2-1.3 drop or so or not??? Part of me thinks that 1.0 on the rear is more than enough, but I really can't help but be attracted to the look of a former poster here (sk8r...), who was riding on the Intrax, and looked as good as a spring/strut set up will allow....he also had a box in his trunk, but it was much smaller than mine. I guess the biggest issue is whether or not my subbox is going to have any kind of impact on the appearance of the vehicle.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

TIA.

(The Pic attached is the car I was talking about.....Intrax springs; drop looks nearly perfect imo)

Next Pic here is Gato's car in the early days....believe he had Eibachs, which give the rear a one inch drop.

Finally, another angle of the 1.6 drop.

All of your thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated. For anyone with experience on either of these products, I'd love to hear from you!

Here's what the rear looks like with the DF210s. In my opinion, Tanabe makes the best springs readily available in the United States. I've owned cars with Intrax, H&R, Eibach, Tokico, and Ebay springs, but these Tanabe springs beat them all when it comes to their overall street performance. The drop is perfect for those who want a nice, clean stance without the "My car didn't come with dampers" slammed look. The ride is near stock, but perfectly engineered to allow a more aggressive approach to turning. After experiencing the Tanabe DF210s on my car and the GF210s on my friend's Evo, I'm completely sold on Tanabe's engineering abilities.

And just to clarify, I'm not a Tanabe employee or salesperson... unfortunately.

im also running intrax springs. The ride is almost like stock too, but the only problem is that the back has a less gap then the front . it's about one finger in front and nearly tucking in the back.

I have had the df210 springs with kyb gr2's on my 2000 es for about 2 and a half years now. IMO, the drop is perfect. Im still running stock tires 205/60/16, and the front has about a 1 to 1 1/2 finger gap, and the rear has about a 1 finger gap. I also have a sub box in the back that weighs alot, so thats why the rear has a 1 finger gap. Before I put in the sub, the rear had almost 1 and 1/2 finger gap. Let me know if you need some pictures to clarify.

Plat....if you've got some pics, I would love to see. A close up of the front and rear perhaps, and a side profile??

Thanks man!!

How do you find the overall ride characteristics by the way?

The ride is a bit stiffer than the stock ride...you do feel the bumps and cracks in the road more, but overall, the ride is awesome. I wouldn't trade it for stock! I drive about 100 miles a day through houston - highway and some really nasty pot-holed roads, and even with the springs and kyb struts, I love the way it rides. Yes you do sacrifice a bit of the "plush" ride, but overall, the ride is still smooth. Alot of people that get in my car notice the closed gap between the fender and wheel but can hardly notice the difference in ride quality unless I drive over some nasty roads. They always ask me "your car is dropped?!" Still a smooth ride overall
