I always considered a reciprocating saw and a sawzall to be one in the same. That said, it woul dbe the tool of my choice for this job.

The best way is to use a chop saw with a metal cutting blade. Thats only if you take the exhaust off.

Cool

Anything cuts exhaust pipe. I put my turbo on with a sawzall for straight pieces, and a miter saw & bandsaw for getting curves.
Any blade on a miter saw will work, but you need to go slower than the blade wants to, otherwise it'll melt the blade & dull it.

The correct thing to use is a chop saw.

A recipricating saw would be the worst thing ever. You'd never be able to square it up & they can't handle how large the pipes are.
