Hey guys, I'm new here to this particular forum and have a question. Right now my fiance has a 1992 ES300 in perfect shape with about 155k. She wants to get a newer one now because she wants pass airbag. My question is: Whats the problems to look out for in buying a ES300. I did a search and came out with a couple of things but can anybody list all the problems that exists with owning these cars. I have a SC400 and I have alot of little things that just goes bad after a while. Any help will be really appreciated. Thanx

 

Blown head gasket. Leaking rear-main seal.
If the rear main seal is leaking, it'll drop oil on the exhaust pipe, giving the car a burning oil smell.
If a head gasket is blown... Poor performance, large amounts of oil, and/or coolant consumed.



Otherwise nothing mechanical of note. They're pretty much tanks.

whats the year that they changed body styles. I think it was "96. Also, Whats the year they added mem seats?

 

I don't know what women will think of next but in this case it is probably the well-being of the child or loved one sitting next to them...
