ABS and Trac light on
Finally got my intrax springs installed. But when i test drove it, I noticed that the ABS and Trac Lights are on  . I think that all the lines are fine but i cant figure out what is causing the problem. Does anyone know what can be causing this to happen and how to fix it. Thanks
BTW, the drop looks very nice. It came out to be a one finger gap in front and a little less than one in the back on stock wheels. The ride is like stock with KYB-GR2 struts and the handling is amazing. :D |
abs sensor is probably broken.. happened to my car when i got aftermarket suspension put in.. the sensors are very sensitive and can be broken easily.. i think it was $350 for 1 speed sensor
take your car to the dealership, get an estimate, and send the bill to the shop which did the work on your car |
Damn, My friend and i were working on the suspension. I guess this is coming out of my pocket  . Do you know if the abs is still working though.

Does anyone know how much a sensor itself cost and how to install one.

abs should still work.. get the diagnostic test done to see which code its throwing.. and depending on that, go to a junkyard and see if you can get one off of a camry, solara, or avalon |
Actually I had this happen to me once before as well, and my ABS and my traction didn't work.

At least give pulling the battery cable off a try. Sometimes if you bump them enough to break their seal and they get very wet (or cold) the sensor get's out of whack. If that's the case, they'll eventually turn back to normal.

Thanks for your guys help. I've tried unpluging the battery but it still shows the abs and trac light. I guess it's time to do what Hoebag said.
