Default 2006 Es

Does anybody know when it will be out? Also, new colors or features (such as back-up camera)?

Thanks!

It should be a totally re-designed ES (most likely called the ES 350). It will probably have a bit more horsepower & torque than the new Avalon (which is 280 hp & 260 lb ft of torque respectfully). A possibility of AWD might be offered & we should start seeing 'proper' spy photo's late this summer or early fall. Expect it to come to market early in 2006 as a 2007 model.

I had heard all that. Does that mean there will not be a 2006 model?

There should be a 2006 model, but it will most likely be a short model year run for the 2006.

I won't speculate on the back up camera however.......haven't heard a word about that feature. But if not, there are always aftermarket ones you can install I'm sure.

Yes, particularly since the new Camry is coming early next year as reported, six months ahead of the original schedule.

Even the new IS has this back-up camera option. I don't see how the more luxury-oriented ES can possibly do without.

I've been trying to find spy photo's of the next gen Camry as well, but no luck so far. If it's coming out 6 months ahead of schedule, then we should start seeing pics anytime now.

I didn't want to speculate on the back up camera one way or the other, but I do agree that there is a decent possibility it will be offered at least as an option. We shall see in due time I'm sure.
