Hi,

The LCD display on my sister's ES300 is broken. It will show lots of black lettering. So it's very hard to read what radio station is on. Sometimes it could be read by the rear seat passenger from a certain angle.

Can this be fixed?

You can buy a new lcd from a seller on here for $100 and its a diy. I forgot the name though, ask this question in the maintance or stereo forums on the main page to get the info.

No, didn't fix it.
I can't stand it when I see my sister's car. She and kids are used to it so they don't mind.
Now that you bring up this matter, I would like to fix it for them if it's not too expensive.
Please reply here if you find a solution.

Just wanted to chime in. as I recently found out, it appears Pioneer discontinued the replacement part for this issue - Part # CWM4319.
I would reach out to a repair shop to see if they can help out.
