95 ES body kit question

If i get a 95 camry bolt on body kit with full fbr and rbr, will it bolt directly up to my 95 ES? will i need to do other mounting mods.?? they are pretty much the same car right?

Kohinoor 10-29-04 10:18 PM

no, it wont fit without being heavily modified

MoreMGD32 10-29-04 10:40 PM

What types of mods need to be done?? How much $$$$ are we talking??

Depends on the shop you go to....
But basically I think all they will have to do is change all the mounts and maybe some cutting, that's it.

reworking fiberglass... id only trust a noteworthy shop of doing such a thing

TCwindom 10-30-04 08:33 AM

i met a guy at the NOPI nationals this year who did this... and he recommended not doing it. In his own words "for the money, you might as well get something from japan". lots of fiberglass work has to be done, and unless done well... it can be damaged easily.

look into kits from japan... they are costly... but they won't be that much more than having a camry kit put on the right way.

ive been trying to find kits from japan but the websites i find are all in japaneese and i can read it. where can i find some more kits? the only kit i could come up with was the Tsunami and i really dont like its lines.

TCwindom 10-31-04 05:12 PM

i agree about the Tsunami kit (sorry guys)... it's a little too aggressive for the ES IMO.

I notice you're from GA moreM2... what part? I'm in kennesaw :)

I would be more than willing to show you some JDM kits and put you in contact with people who can get you them.

*edit*

do you have AIM?

www.zippmedia.com

juan01 10-31-04 07:06 PM

holy moly, prices are crazy on that site

TCwindom 10-31-04 07:30 PM

ridiculous prices... seems to me like they're getting it at the normal prices... then jacking it up a few hundred bucks. By what they're saying the full kit i want would be like 3000+ bucks. When I talked to someone in japan who said he could have it on my door sill for 1400. :thumbdn:

Kohinoor 10-31-04 08:17 PM

they have to make their money somehow... cant really blame em

juan01 11-01-04 02:50 AM

They won't make money if they continue to keep those prices. :thumbdn:
