Exterior Differences between ES300 and ES330
 

I dont know when the ES's changed to the looks they have now, but the ES330s out on the road now look exactly the same as some ES300's..which I'm guessing the 3.3L was introduced in 2002, so the only ES330s out are the 2003 and 2004

which means they only new style ES300 is the 2002 since pre-02 had the 2nd? generation ES?

this is all guessing by the way

so out of the latest body style that includes both the 300 and 330, are there ANY exterior differences besides the badge??

The exterior of the 2002 & 2003 ES300's are identical. In 2004 the only change was in the badge on the rear trunk deck. That changed from, ES300 to ES330 because of the higher HP engine.

Well my friend, in this case I think she's putting you on because there are absolutely NO differences between the 2002, 2003, or 2004 front ends! I think she's trying to impress you with a wild guess. Let her do it though to keep the peace. ;)

NO differences except the rear badge! :egads:

The main change was the powertrain...that's it.

The only way I know if an 02-04 is a 330 without looking at the rear badge is if it is obviously a SportDesign, since those were only made in 04, and are thus 330's. And of course, this only works if I can see the SD badge/wheels, or if it's an SD-exclusive color (Thundercloud Metallic or Graphite Gray Pearl).

Of course, if you see a car with the new projector lights, round fogs, grille, etc., it's recognizeable as an 05 and thus a 330 (at least in the North American market it is. From reading other threads about the 05, it appears that some parts of the world still have the 300 engine in the 05's).

Don't forget about the fog lights. The ES300 has rectangular fog lights, the ES330 has round fog lights.

I Knew there was light differences. The taillights are identical? absolutely identical?

The tail lights are different. They are interchangeable between the two, But look different. Only the 04 ES330 has the same tail lights as the ES300. They changed the tail lights in 05.

wth are you trying to ask. lol. es300 and es330 look far different from each other. all es330 stock look exactly the same almost. even really similar to es350. but from es300, there is a rather big difference.

05 = es330 no exterior differences
06-07 upgraded front and rear tails/bumper.

Wrong

02-03 = ES300
04 = ES330 Same body as 02-03
05-06 = ES330 Different Front bumper, Headlights, Tail lights, and Grille.

07 = Complete Redesign, Nothing like Previous models.
