Default Pls help me identify this.

New member here. I recently purchased a 99 ES300 and while under the dash on the drivers side looking for a way through the firewall to run a power wire to the battery for an aftermarket amplifier, I noticed this black box with an on/off switch to the left of the steering column. I'm thinking it's an old alarm system or perhaps a kill-switch. What do you think it is? Any input is appreciated.

Aftermarket alarm or maybe remote start, it should be completely removed and any wiring modifications put back to original.

Pretty sure that is an aftermarket alarm, is there an extra key fob with the keys?

No extra key fob of any kind. I'm just gonna remove it because thankfully its not a hack job. Whoever installed it used those piggyback wire splicers to wire it in.
