Interior Door Handle Replacement
 

Has anyone replaced just the interior chrome handle? I bought a replacement from eBay but the outer housing is much more worn than what is in my car. I really just want to replace the chrome handle only. I've inspected it quite a bit and cannot tell how it might be removed.

While I don't have a handle out of 4th-gen, I do have an old one for my 2000 ES300 (boy did it tale a while to find it). It is pretty easy to take apart, at least once you figure out that the whole mechanism is held by the Lock/Unlock Paw, once you take it an the Spring out, the handle itself just slides out. Below is the picture of the handle taken apart, and the most crucial tab to bend up, taking the Lock Paw out, after that's out, it is pretty self-evident from there, so long as you are careful with the spring, don't let it fool you and leap into another dimension. :D
