It started with one code now many?
HI everyone, started with cel and po303 cylinder 3 misfire, I replaced all plugs and cylinder 3 coil, and replaced fuel filter. Drove after and now i have po300 random midfire,302,303,304 cylinder misfires along with po171 system to lean bank one and finally po1153 a f sensor circuit response malfunction. car runs rough and cel light flashes then goes solid ? Did I hook up something wrong?

How many miles? This is a classic sign of bad VVTi solenoids also known as oil control valves. Your only option is OEM not aftermarket. Never buy OEM on Ebay or Amazon you'll likely get fakes. Do you still have the original coils? Good chance they are still good.

car has 155k on it all original coils except the number three i just replaced

Put the original coil back (I know it takes a bit of creativity not much room) see if you go back to the one cylinder misfiring.

Hello,
What plugs specifically did you use, where did you purchase them? It doesn't seem like the issue is in the Oil Control Valves, as the cylinders in Both banks are misfiring, unless both of them died at the same time, which is extremely rare. Codes seem quite random and all over the place, since the issue appeared right after you replaced all the Plugs, it could be part of the culprit. There are a lot of counterfeit items, especially around eBay and Amazon, and a lot of plugs to choose from, you will have to specify the exact model you got and where you got them. Other thing you can do if you have a scan tool is check Engine Live Data, look through Short Term Fuel Trims, Misfire Load, A/F sensor Readouts. If the readouts are all over the place, it could mean that the fuel is not burning properly for one reason or another. Hope this helps and best of luck! |

Weeell, hate to be a downer but seems like there's your answer..
Change one thing at a time. Getting a specific Cyl 3 code then throwing a lot of cheap parts at the problem, and the problem spreading, is normal. |
multiple codes make sure battery cables tight
on a trip to a shop, the neg cable may have been removed and forgotten to be retightened.
