Went to local 1/8th mile track for first time today in my 09' IS350
Went to my local 1/8th mile track today to see how it would do. Didn't get any cooldown time, pretty much arrived, got in line and ran. No weight reduction at all... just like I drive it everyday. Workbag etc etc.
Made a few runs, but my best run was my first one.
Ended up running 8.795@80.340 w/ 2.047 60ft.
Pretty much stage with trac control off, hold brake, rev to about 1500, and floor it.
Only mods on the car are f-sport springs, and f-sport rear sway bar.
It was 80 degrees today. Can probably get the 60ft down some more, and get mid 8's on a cooler night.
Looking to do intake/exhaust soon... and seriously contemplating a 75hp shot of NOS also.

Yeah with a perfect launch and cool weather mid 8s is definitely possible.
The fastest 1/8 mile times for bone stock IS350s = 8.51 @ 84.13 MPH, 8.52 @ 84.3 MPH, and 8.597 @ 83.73 MPH
Of course Cole managed an amazing 8.28 @ 85.57 MPH (1/4 mile = 12.8 seconds), but this was with the entire front passenger seat removed and drag radials.

Thanks. Still working on it. Hopefully the JoeZ exhaust can give a good boost. Only issue with that is it was ordered Oct 1, and still hasn't shipped. Don't think an exhaust should take a month to receive(total shipping time once it ships). I am awaiting word from Luis in next day or so before deciding my next step on cancelling or not.

Weigh Reduction (Keep in mind the car had 1/2 tank of fuel) last minute trip to the strip.

Wow good run. I was under the impression that your car was stock just removed the seat with drag radials. Looks like you had some bolt ons too but that is still a very good run.
Doesn't it seem all quite relative though? To actually run a 12.8 wouldn't you need to keep the last part of the run phenomenal? Even given the great start I'd assume to follow through you'll need more power to keep the momentum going. Just food for thought but either way nice job.

I went out the strip last weekend in my new to me '10 ISF and my buddy drove my mom's 06 350 bone stock with 80k miles and ran 13.8xx's all night long with a best of 13.793. Sadly I couldn't break into the 12's with my F my buddy who is 50 pounds lighter than me did manage a 12.914 at 109 though.
