What are some really good and working apps for that?

Any details or error messages encountered? Try to connect the camera and DL into the computer, Using a different card reader, checking for any bent pis or contacts. Lexar and Sandisk have their recovery software available if using one of their memory cards.

No messages... the photos are just gone, none of the above worked..

Hey, guys! Some time ago my son deleted all the photos from my camera which was really bad, because there were some pics which I needed for work, and also some family photos which I had not printed yet. I was looking for a solution to recover them too, and found one. I think you will like the solution from https://www.diskinternals.com/uneraser/ for this purpose, and it will work perfectly for you. I used it to recover photos on camera's SD and some files on my thumbdrive, and everything worked like a charm in my case. Good luck with it, hope you will like that tool too

+1, If that section of the media has not been overwritten the success rate is better. Try as many as you can and as a last resort the recovery places or hacker will know the drill.
