I recently bought a 2016 ct200h I wonder if there are OEM updates that can be made to it. Things like parking sensors or blind spot sensors ...Is the base wired for it and I would just need to "tap" into it?

There is no blind spot on the CT200h at all. If you wanted parking sensors, its best to buy a CT200h with it already. They are not wired up for it from factory if it didn't come with the option. You can buy an aftermarket solution for those but its not easy to install.

one day if i get bored enough i'll rig up some blind spot monitoring using parts from a kia or buick off ebay. and maybe an LED drilled into the interior somewhere for indicators. the glass is way expensive from Lexus.
