Do like I did and swap the homelink module (the black square) directly into your non homelink equipped panel. direct bolt on. Requires some fiddling. this is a rare find though. they usually go for much more, up to $300.

^I think that's cause you have premium package which uses the nav screeen for aback up cam. the non premium uses the mirror for back up cam.

I think it changed with the 2014 refresh, at least in the USA. Homelink was part of the premium package. The buttons were overhead 2011-2013 and moved to the mirror 2014-2017.

Just to clarify, the premium package didn't relocate the backup camera from the mirror. The Display Audio package or Navigation package put the camera on the center screen. The homelink buttons weren't related to the camera display. With the revision in 2014, the buttons would be on the mirror in a car with the premium package and without a center display - though I've never seen a car equipped like that.

My point is the cars w/ homelink mirrors use the screen for back up camera viewing. My post is for people who have the rearview mirror equipped backup camera screens who want to upgrade their switch panel to homelink. I was the first and the only to do it so i am trying to help the community out.
