2014 Lexus CT 200h, recently my Lexus has developed a "lean" in the rear suspension. It does not make any noises (like a busted shock/strut), the tires are properly inflated, everything looks fine, BUT...... The right rear wheel well/fender has a clearance relative to the tire of about 3 inches. The left rear tire has a clearance of about 1.5


" as do the front 2 tires. So, something is up with the right rear. Is it possible that the "sport Mode" suspension or the standard mode has gotten caught up on one side or the other.

Sport mode only controls steering and throttle response, since they can both be electronic controlled. This car doesn't have adjustable suspension, manually or electronically.

My guess is either one or two shock absorbers are bad, or the springs somehow is stuck on something when it when over a bump, and isn't properly released. Both scenario seems unlikely, but who knows.

Thanks for your thoughts. The suspension seems to be tight when I push/pull on it from the outside. It runs smoothly, and does not sound like it has a busted shock, no odd noise or thumping sounds. I've had both bad shocks and struts in the past. I took it out for a thorough curvey test drive to try and challenge it and it felt really good.

Dampers (shocks) do not affect ride height. If there is a suspension problem causing your "lean," it's the spring. Check for corrosion or snapping. You'd have to remove the wheel or possibly look under with a flashlight. Of course make sure you are on level ground.
