What have you guys done for OEM strut replacement?

This is not a performance car which my wife reminds me constantly but since we have to spend money, it would be nice to get the car to sit a bit lower at same time. Is coilovers the only option?

If we do an aftermarket strut, does brands like KONI or Bilstein make a part for this car? I'd like to get minimum F-sport springs or something that is a bit more firm and lets the car sit like 1" lower.

Not going for a slammed look or anything obvious. Just a tasteful drop that she won't notice in her daily commute but maybe pick up a few MPG

Personal preference I guess. I don't think the CT is low at all.

That being said, OP...I would go for a full set of coilovers. F-Sport springs go for about $190 and with the added costs of 4 shocks (koni, bilstein, etc)...you'll be in the price range of a decent set of coilovers. I would look at what BC has to offer...if you're going to spend money, you might as well go for something that is full height and damper adjustable.

This is my wife's car so ride quality must be close to OEM!!!

With that said would aftermarket coilovers be even an option since ride height I know is adjustable but it cannot be bouncy or too stiff.

What about Tein? I was looking at OEM struts only and the cost is around $180 per side so that's close to aftermarket setup.

I would not go BC or any of that stance kid stuff. Only go big professional OEM-level names when it comes to suspension. And no megan. Please no. I've been around the block in multiple communities (mostly german) and have seen and done everything. twice.

Adult professional? I would go stock F Sport replacement w/ Lexus blue f sport springs. Done.

I searched high and low. Seems no manufacturer makes aftermarket for the strut. Only Genuine Lexus. About $160 each from the dealer

someone above mentioned, if looking for a ride closest to oem .... blue f sport springs is your best bet. no clue on what to recommend on struts/shocks though. if tein becomes a contender, I would guess the flex a's may be comfy with their "hydraulic bump stopper" and "twin tube system" design = https://www.tein.com/products/flex_a.html

1 more thing I'd like to throw out. I recently installed tein street advance z's on my other car (a honda fit .... which is apples to oranges.... but maybe the concept will apply) and crazy enough .... they ride more comfy than oem springs/oem shocks/struts, perhaps due to the twin tube design? previous setups on that car include:

-d2 1.5 inch lowering springs + oem struts/shocks = bouncey, did practically nothing for performance
-tein s tech springs + koni orange shocks/struts = more sporty than oem, but still in the realm of not comfy
-coilvers with higher custom spring rates/valving = awesome for those who care about track, but a horrible idea for a dd or a person seeking comfort

Honestly i'd just go blue f sport springs and replacement Lexus f sport dampers. for life.

i had the blue springs on my 2016 and plan to get them for my 2015.
