Each wheel is fitted with an internal - expensive! - tire pressure sensor. As far as I know, these are the same sensors used on the Lexus models which display the actual pressure in each tire.
Unfortunately, the CT200H does not display the pressure information. Instead, it is fitted with a very basic system which warns us if the pressure is not what it should be. I assume the pressure sensors communicate with the car - maybe Bluetooth?
My question - Is it possible to intercept this communication with another device and display the actual tire pressures?

Our TPMS sensors are now 12 years old and the batteries are worn out, hence no display in the dash

I went to Discount Tires and they installed five new ones including the spare and then went around the car with a tablet to "wake them up"

since they have to take all the tires off this is a good opportunity to consider new tires anyway

by the way, Discount Tire will not put a TPMS on a spare tire that is more than 10 years old so I had to get a new tire for that one too, I put a cheaper tire on that one

There's a slim chance you can get it from one of the display tools that plug into the OBDII port order the dash. But they probably weren't set up to report tire position.

My 2013 ES350 has only 31000 miles, but I recently fractured a rim on a pothole. As I am using this as an excuse to replace the rims, would it be wise to replace the TPMS at the same time? Are these the type that are installed in the inside of the valve stems? My first Lexus, and I just got it, so kind of a Lexus virgin. Thanks

A little off-topic but keep in mind you can claim this against the local government that oversees that road for the damage if you provide proof.

I always figured if the car knows when it's low, it must know the constant pressure rating. But maybe not. I can get just about every piece of data through my OBDII device and been meaning to check.
