That might be because it was CPO. I bought my 14 new and all they did was give me the first 2 services free. It's actually listed in the manual.

First one is at 5k, which is an inspection and tire rotation, and then at 10k, which is the same plus an oil change.

At 30k miles, the car is due for the 3rd factory recommended oil change. Inspection and tire rotation is usually called for every 5k otherwise.

If it is 2 years old you may want to do a brake fluid flush as it absorbs water over time and can corrode expensive components. Toyota recommends doing this every 2 or 3 years. Have the air filter and cabin air filters checked and changed. They are easy to do yourself and save a lot of money. Do a search. Just go to an independent import repair shop and save a lot of money compared to the dealer. As long as you have documentation the work was done, your warranty is still good. Ask for an oil change, filter check, tire rotation. This may be $100 more or less depending on where you live and who does it. The dealer will charge much more, Most dealers have a web site with typical service prices posted, or call them up.
The brake fluid flush may be an additional $100.

Man, oh man. My 30k tuneup from Lexus cost me $500. They said every 30k, you'll be paying a lot more than usual because they're replacing a lot of filters and a few other things. Just a fair warning on pricing

The only extras (other than extra inspections that cost more) on the 30k service is that the cabin and engine air filters and brake fluid are all replaced. None of these may be necessary but they'll do it for the opportunity to charge you that much.

If you want your car to always be perfectly maintained, and never have to think about it, and you're ok with the cost, then stick to Lexus' schedule for maintenance. Otherwise, you may want to ask for the necessary items instead of the whole service.

Or have all that stuff done at your local import mechanic for half the price of going to the dealer. However you miss out on their free doughnuts and coffee.

Not necessarily. Drop by the dealer and enjoy some free pastries and drinks of choice, then get back in your car and head to your local mechanic.

There is no longer anything like the old fashioned tune up. What they do is check and change fluids and filters. Then inspect the brakes and suspension and maybe run it on the computer to look for stored codes.
