considering buying a CT200H, some questions..
Hello everybody,
I am a proud owner of a Audi TT Roadster Mk1 (2000) and due to new needs in life I am considering selling the car and buying a CT200H.
I am currently leaning towards a CT200H with around 100.000 km (62k miles) on the clock and have a few questions about this car after this specific mileage.
What are the main things expected to be already done at this mileage? For example, on my TT the timing belt and water pump is one of the things (I know the CT200H like most Toyotas has a chain).
How much of it's original charge would you expect the battery on the CT200H to hold after 100.000km? Is there a (easy) way to test for the battery capacity?
What other important things should I consider checking before buying?
Thank you all, hopefully you will gain another member soon!

I would take it to an independent 3rd party Toyo or Lexus dealer to inspect in writing and get a print out of all SYSTEMS. This will cost around $150 to $250??? Plus the usual CarFax. But CarFax does not catch everything. An expert with Toyota/Lexus will detect prior bodywork done better than most others since there will likely be clues.
Also get them to print out ALL work previously done that is in the Lexus/Toyota System (assuming these were done at the dealership). Don't forget any outstanding recalls and TSB's, if any.
PERSONALLY I would go for an Lexus L Certified unit bc these will have "unlimited mileage" warranty for "X" number of years (I remembered X=2 years + Original Factory Warranty. So likely to be some 6 years from the DATE FIRST PLACED IN SERVICE. YOU need to ask in writing from the Lexus dealership when the DATE FIRST PLACED IN SERVICE WAS!!!)
The last thing you want is to have issues, especially in the hybrid batteries/drive System... It will be VERY COSTLY to fix since most likely will be out if warranty.
Good luck.
