Default (2011)Both headlights went out at the same time (its not the fuse)

Both of them somehow got knocked out, The fuse is fine and the other things connected to the fuse all work. High beams work, DRLs work, fog lights work. The low beams do not.

I am troubleshooting it now and when I pulled the driver's side light out it suddenly lit back up. So the wires and the lights work too. The passenger one I am trying to figure out how to get it out so I don't know yet if it died too.

So, about the lights, why would both go out at the same time like that and then it suddenly start working again?

This may be a redundant question, but you have tried replacing the bulbs or at least inspected to see if a filament was blown/loose on both? Or perhaps loose in connection? Could it be a faulty ground?

HI - My 2015 CT200h had both my headlights go out on me - I replaced them with Sylvania H11 bulbs - drove .5 mile and stopped at McDonalds for a shake. I’m in the restaurant and someone yells that there’s a Car on Fire - my entire front end was engulfed in flames. So now my car is totaled! Have other people had similar issues?

^ glad you are okay.
Cars can be replaced.

I haven't heard of this personally but it's not uncommon, did you by chance replace them with a much higher wattage? Doing so can strain and melt the harness which can lead to serious results. Hope insurance paid out okay.

I used the AutoZone app that validated the the bulb was compatible with the CT200h sport so it wasn’t a wattage issue - i’m curious if other people had electric issues - last week i noticed my dashboard went out and came back while i was driving....only happened once so didn’t think it was a major issue.

That picture looks savage. Out of morbid curiosity, do you have any more pics? I'd like to see what BBQ'd CT looks like.

Oh snap. Did the fire start from headlight unit?

I had the same issue just happen yesterday and took the car to my Lexus service center. They just called and said they have a Service recall on the wiring harness and are replacing it free of charge.
