Hi all--Yesterday I brought home a 2017 CT 200h FSport, obsidian with black interior. This is my 3rd Lexus. I started with the ES 300h. Then last year I lost my mind and bought a 2016 RC 350 F Sport. After the initial euphoria wore off (I was turning 65, never had owned a sports car before, etc.), I realized that 16-20 mpg was all I was going to get. I felt guilty about the enormous carbon fooprint I was leaving, and no longer enjoyed the car. When husband and I were at the dealer Monday for his car, we walked around the showroom floor and found my salvation, the CT. Right then and there, I traded in the RC with only 2000 miles on it. By the time I got the CT home, I was getting 44 mpg. You have no idea the relief I felt at being "green" again. I will never stray again--LOL!

LOL,. I feel for you.

My wife and I have both the RX450h and the CT200h. While we enjoy the high mpg with these two vehicles, but from time to time we get the itch to enjoy something more powerful and fun. That's one of the reasons we have the RCF and the LX570. OUT OF ALL THESE, the most UNGREEN is the LX570 with 9 mpg in stop and go traffic in SoCal!!!

I traded in a IS250 that I had barely driven for a CT200h in 2013 and I liked that the CT took regular octane gas and that the gas mileage was much better than the IS.

Same experience for me. I traded our 2008 IS 250 for a 2012 CT and figured it used about half the gas. Saved a lot of money too.

Never owned a hybrid car before, but I love the looks of the CT200, and if it helps to save gas why not. It has been bugging me lately the idea of getting one for daily commute. I currently own a NX200t F-sport and not looking to replace it I love it, but my question is do you guys have to like adjust your driving style when driving and hybrid? I've been watching lots of videos most people agree that it is a slow car.

Well, I wouldn't say "slow", but it sure isn't fast. I'd say it is more than adequate around town and has enough pick up for highway merging. However, lack of acceleration doesn't mean slow in handling. I was at a Lexus event where the fastest time in a parking lot gymkhana was set by a CT. It really is a fun car to drive.

If you expected a race car out of a hybrid, sans the 918, NSX, etc..

Then you're sorely mistaken.

Glad you enjoy the nx200t, my mother own the nx300h and loves it - since her other car is RC350, she appreciates the gas savings.

it can handle. thats for sure. and it sure is alot of fun, esp on twisty roads

i was just up at big bear/summit over the weekend for some snow boarding. for a "slow car", my little ct sure passed up alot of other cars on the way up the mountain. next trip.... ill go pro a video to illustrate how slow ct's arent

My IS200t gets 17 mpg indicated. Huge relief to get my CT. It's not the cost, really. It's just that the IS is NOT a 17mpg car and just knowing that ruins it for me. It's a great car in all other respects. The CT is a slow and lumbering car compared, but 40+ mpg just cancels that out. Nice knowing I'm not the only IS driver who switched over green/mpg reasons!

Coming from a former owner of a IS250 and a 3rd Gen Prius...the CT is a fun handling car and a hybrid. Wish it had another 50 HP. :-/

but seriously... a Camry Hybrid system would be killer in our CTs. 0-60 6.9s and 50 mpg. Why can't we get that =( I'd gladly pay another 3k for such a system on top of the CT price (new)
