I have a 15 CT Fsport for work and daily driving and just a month ago purchased a 12 BMW 135i Convertible for weekends. I gotta say as much as I love the BMW I think I love the CT more. Yeah it's lacking some on power if you put the pedal down or try to pass on a back road. But for daily activities its great. I'm a realtor and in the car ALOT and I never wish that I had purchased something else. Well....not for the same money anyway. It handles much better than you would think, rides firm but still nice, has some of the best seats I've ever sat in, and in Fsport trim looks pretty damn good.

Happy for the most part, however it is slow to accelerate and i dread the times i have to slow down (like for EZ pass 30 mpg zones) and then the other cars are all over me, once up-to speed it's pretty good at maintaining road legal speeds ;-)
I wish i had more space, but it does love stop and go traffic and looks really good in f sport trim.

OP, any car will perform below it's peak during a 10 minute test drive. Conventional cars
are just getting warmed up and while Lexus Hybrids warm quickly the traction battery was
likely not as charged up as when driven daily. Remember the first time you drove a stick
shift (if you learned to drive an automatic) or an automatic (if your first was a stick)? Driving
a hybrid for the first time is not nearly so radical a change but it takes time to optimize your
understanding of the advantages and differences. A CT ought to really shine in hilly stop
and glide driving!
